Setting up this proxy browser took a little more work than some of the services we reviewed. It requires some configuration, but there are step-by-step instructions online to walk you through the process. Although it's nice to have the instructions, it would be even more helpful if the process were automatic.

Connecting to servers was a little confusing because the button turns gray, making it a little difficult at first to determine whether you've started the process of connecting. However, we noticed that in the lower left-hand corner, the status changes from Disconnected to Connecting and then finally to Connected. A red, yellow and then green circle appear along with the status changes, which helps you know whether you're connected or not. You can also see the abbreviation for the IPVanish VPN server location you are connected to, which helps to cut down on confusion.
